Winter Flame Maple Tree Size:1 gallon 36-46” not too common cultivar worthyWinter Flame is an Acer palmatum cultivar that is a smaller, more compact version of the Coral Bark Maple (Sango kaku) . The palmate green leaves on Winter Flame take on a yellow, orange and then a fiery red with the bark a bright coral red in winter. Winter Flame seems to be a bit hardier than the Coral bark (less twig die back). 8 feet in ten years. Can handle sun but in hot areas provide afternoon shade. Cold hardy to 15F. Please see Beni kawa
